WAYNESBORO - Robbin Marie (Moon) James, 55, widow of Dennis Edward "D. J." James of 88 Townhouse Lane, Waynesboro, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. James was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on July 3, 1958, a daughter of Jewell (Wooldridge) Moon and the late Warren Lawrence Moon.
Mrs. James was a member of the Edward Avenue Baptist Church and was retired from Hershey's Chocolate as a machine operator. Robbin liked to crochet, cross stitch and was a devoted mother, grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Waynesboro, is a son, Jason Patrick James and his wife, Serena, of Raphine; a daughter, Amanda Nicole (James) Wiseman and her fiancé, Michael W. Campbell, of Waynesboro; two sisters, Cheryl Ottinger and her husband, Clay, of Waynesboro and Angela Pullin and her husband, Barry, of Verona; seven grandchildren, Bonnie James, Brandon James, Reilly Shiflett, Cheyenne Bishop, Madison Shiflett, Jordan Weikel and Christopher Weikel; two great -grandchildren, Brianna Weikel and Hayden James; a •special cousin, Billy Seay and his wife, Charlotte, of Bumpass, Va.; a number of nieces and nephews; and her faithful companions and pets, her bird "Sam" and dog “Sheena."
A Memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Edward Avenue Baptist Church by Pastor Gary May.
The family will receive friends following the service.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses at the Shenandoah Hospice House and Augusta Health and a special thank you to caregivers Meagan Clayton and Kathy Anderson for their kindness and the care they gave to Robbin.
